  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Create Pool Links

Use this screen to create the cost and base account/organization combinations that were entered on the Manage Cost Creation Setups and Manage Base Creation Setups screens.

On the Manage Cost Creation Setups and Manage Base Creation Setups screens, you can use wildcards to designate the accounts and organizations that compose your cost pool setup. You also enter the associated allocation and variance combinations. After entering this data in the setup screens, use the Create Pool Links screen to create the different combinations. After you create the combinations, you can review and fine-tune them, if necessary, on the Manage Cost Pools screen, using the Pool Cost and Pool Base subtasks. You cannot use this screen to delete or modify cost pool information; you can only create new combinations that were entered in the setup screens. To make modifications to the combinations, use the subtasks of the Manage Cost Pools screen.

Use this screen whenever you enter new account/organization combinations in either the Manage Cost Creation Setups or Manage Base Creation Setups screens. Review the Manage Base Creation Setups and Manage Cost Creation Setups screens and run this process each month to incorporate any additions or modifications to the account/organization structure in the pool structure.

Note: When you run this screen for ALL pools, Costpoint updates the Last Create Pool Links Run Date field on the Configure Project Settings screen. This date is used as a reference point to determine which rows to process. The next time you execute the Create Pool Links screen, the timestamp for each row in the Pool Cost Setup (POOL_COST_WILDCARD) table and the Maintain Account/Org Links (ORG_ACCT) table is compared to the timestamp in the Project Settings table. Only rows with a timestamp later than the timestamp on Project Settings are inserted into the work table to be compared to existing pool cost and pool base account rows.

The Last Create Pool Links Run Date field is editable. For example, if you delete rows on the Pool Cost or Pool Base subtasks of the Manage Cost Pools screen, you can modify the timestamp and use the Create Pool Links process to restore the rows.
