PROJECTS

Use this subtask to view project information for an item. Use it when you want to view project information for an item.

Item

This field displays the ID of the selected item. The item description is also displayed.

Rev

This field displays the revision of the selected item.

U/M

This field displays the unit of measure associated with the item.

Make/Buy

This fields displays whether the item is an M (Make) or B (Buy) item.

Active

This field displays Y (Yes) or N (No) for the active status of this item.

Table Window

Project

This column displays the project ID to which this item is assigned.

Project Name

This column displays the name of this project ID.

Project Type

This column displays the project type as defined on the Manage Project Types screen in Costpoint Project Setup.

Active

This column displays Y (Yes) or N (No) to indicate whether or not the project is active.

Starting Date

This column displays the starting date of the project.

Ending Date

This column displays the ending date of the project.

Safety Stock Quantity

This column displays the safety stock quantity that is used to help generate reorder information for materials planning and is added to other requirements to determine how much inventory is required.

Reorder Pt Quantity

This column displays the quantity required to be in inventory for this part.

Order To Quantity

This column displays the target inventory quantity desired for this part. This quantity is used in addition to the reorder point to sustain an inventory level for this part for planning purposes.

Preferred Warehouse

This column displays the preferred warehouse where this part is received.

Preferred Whse Location

This column displays the preferred warehouse location where this part is received.

QC Insp Reqd

This column displays Y (Yes) or N (No) to indicate that QC Acceptance/Inspection is required for this part/project.

Source Insp Reqd

This column displays Y (Yes) or N (No) to indicate whether source inspection is required for this part/project. A government source inspection normally requires the vendor to obtain approval from a government inspector before the material can be shipped.

Cert Conf Reqd

This column displays Y (Yes) or N (No) to indicate whether the vendor must submit a certificate of conformance when this part is ordered for the specified project. A certificate of conformance is a legal document issued by the vendor that certifies that the materials conform to certain specifications and requirements.

Lot Reqd

This column displays Y (Yes) or N (No) (No) to indicate whether the system tracks lot numbers for this part when used with this project.

Serial Reqd

This column displays Y (Yes) or N (No) to indicate whether the system tracks serial numbers for this part when used with this project.
