Use this subtask to view current inventory information for the substitute parts for the part shown in the main screen. If substitutes are allowed in the Manage Part Project Data screen in Costpoint Product Definition, the substitutes are the project-specific substitute parts defined in the Substitute Project Parts subtask of the Part Project Data screen or the general substitute parts defined in Costpoint Product Definition. The display includes only the selected projects, unless you select the View All Inventory option.
Use it to view details about substitute parts for the part shown in the main screen.
This field displays the part ID shown on the main screen.
This field displays the revision of the part ID.
This field displays the description for the part ID.
This field displays the unit of measure assigned to the part ID.
This field displays the ID of the selected project from the main screen. The project name displays in the adjacent unlabeled field.
This field displays the inventory abbreviation of the selected action message from the main child table window (CTW).
This field displays the netting group associated with the inventory abbreviation or the netting group used in the selection criteria.
Use this drop-down list to filter for the data to display on the Substitute Part Inventory CTW. The valid options are:
View Selected Inv Projects — Select this to filter substitute parts based on the record’s inventory abbreviation
View All Inventory — Select this to display all available substitute parts.
View Nettings Groups — Select this to display all substitute parts within the record’s Netting Group.
View Project Substitute Parts — Select this to display only project substitute parts that are linked to the record line.
View Part Substitute — Select this to display only part substitutes that are linked to the record line.
Click this button to load the current inventory information for the substitute parts of the selected part.
This table window displays the details of the inventory for the substitute part according to the viewing criteria selected. Sorting is by project ID and inventory abbreviation code.
This field displays the ID of the substitute part.
This field displays the revision of the substitute part.
This field displays the description of the substitute part.
This field displays the inventory unit of measure of the substitute part.
This field displays the inventory abbreviation code.
This field displays the descriptive name for the inventory abbreviation.
This field displays the ID of the project associated with the inventory abbreviation.
This field displays the descriptive name for the project ID.
This field displays the abbreviation for the project ID.
This field displays the current available quantity of the part/inventory abbreviation combination. It is the sum of all the On Hand Quantity and In Inspection Quantity minus the Reserved Quantity for that part/inventory abbreviation combination.
This field displays the net available quantity of the part/inventory abbreviation combination. It is the sum of all the On Hand Quantity, In Inspection Quantity, In Shipping Quantity, In MRB Quantity, On Order Quantity, On Requisition Quantity, Owed Quantity, and Planned Owed Quantity minus the sum of the Reserved Quantity and Planned Reserved Quantity fields for the part/inventory abbreviation combination. (In MRB is included only if you selected the Incl MRB as Available Inventory check box in the Configure Production Control Settings screen in Costpoint Production Control.)
This field displays the sum of all quantities of the part/inventory abbreviation combination that are in on-hand locations.
This field displays the sum of all quantities of the part/inventory abbreviation combination that are in inspection and reinspection locations.
This field displays the sum of all quantities of the part/inventory abbreviation combination that are in shipping locations.
This field displays the sum of all quantities of the part/inventory abbreviation combination that are in MRB locations.
This field displays the sum of all the quantities of the part/inventory abbreviation combination that are in on-hold locations.
This field displays the sum of all quantities that have been ordered for the part/inventory abbreviation combination.
This field displays the sum of all the quantities that have been requisitioned for the part/inventory abbreviation combination.
This field displays the sum of all quantities that are owed to the part/inventory abbreviation combination via reservations.
This field displays the sum of all quantities that are planned to be reserved against the part/inventory abbreviation combination via requests.
This field displays the sum of all the quantities reserved against the part/inventory abbreviation combination via reservations.
This field displays the sum of all quantities that you plan to owe to the part/inventory abbreviation combination via requests.
This field contains modifiable notes applicable to the part/inventory abbreviation combination.
This field displays the sequence in the order of preference for the substitute part. If there are multiple rows of possible substitute parts, the one with the lowest sequence number is selected.
This field indicates whether the substitute part is use-up/interchangeable, interchangeable, or non-interchangeable.
This field indicates whether the substitute part is a Part Substitute or a Project Substitute Part.
