Use this screen to transfer inventory from one warehouse/location to another. Use it when transfer of inventory is required between warehouses or locations.
Enter, or click to select, the ID of the warehouse from which the material will be taken. The warehouse ID must already exist in the Warehouses table.
If you selected the Auto-Assign check box for Location Transfers in the Transaction IDs subtask of the Manage Warehouses screen, leave this field blank and Costpoint will automatically assign the next transfer ID. If Auto-Assign is selected and you manually enter a transfer ID in this field, the Last Inv Trans ID field in the Transaction IDs subtask of the Warehouses screen is not updated. If you clear the Auto-Assign check box, you can manually enter a transfer ID. The value in this field cannot begin with a space.
This field displays the system date as the default transaction date, but you can enter, or click to select, another date.
Enter, or click to select, the material handler performing this transaction. A valid employee ID is required.
Enter, or click to select, the materials handler's organization ID of the employee.
Enter, or click to select, the location ID for the warehouse you just entered in the Warehouse field, as the default from where the material will be taken. The location ID must already exist for that warehouse in the Locations table.
Enter, or click to select, the abbreviation of the inventory from which the material has been taken. The description of the inventory abbreviation selected is displayed.
Enter, or click to select, the ID of the warehouse to which the material will be moved. The warehouse ID must already exist in the Warehouses table.
Enter, or click to select, the location ID for the warehouse you just entered in the Warehouse field, as the default to where the material will be moved. The location ID must already exist for the warehouse in the Locations table.
Select this check box to automatically load the location ID from the location ID assigned on the Manage Part Project Data screen in Costpoint Product Definition for those parts with a project ID that is the same as for the inventory abbreviation specified.
If you clear this check box, the default location ID will be used.
Enter free-form text to be associated with this transaction.
Click this button to automatically load the transaction lines with the default information entered in the header section.
The line number is automatically generated.
Enter, or click to select, the part ID for the material to be issued.
This field displays the last revision assigned to the part ID; however, you can enter, or click to select, another revision that exists for this part ID.
This field displays the description for the part.
This field displays the inventory unit of measure for the part.
Enter the quantity to be issued. This defaults from the reservation if you entered one.
Enter, or click to select, the ID of the location from which the material is being transferred.
Enter, or click to select, the location to which the material is being transferred.
