Views
The wInsight Analytics data model includes the Standard view and all custom views (custom versions of the Sort window) that have been created in wInsight.
Loading the wInsight Views
The Standard view and all custom views that exist in wInsight are added to the wInsight Analytics data model when the data load process is run.
Using the wInsight Views
The wInsight views are available for selection on the Detail Analysis tab in wInsight Analytics - Single Project and on the Data Validation and Views tab in wInsight Analytics - Multi-Project. The data included in the selected view displays in a table. If you select a different view, the data in the table changes based on that selection.
To optimize the performance of the views in the wInsight Analytics module, the order in which the columns are displayed may be different than it was in wInsight. Fields containing text data are considered dimensions and displayed first, while numeric fields are considered measures and displayed to the right of the dimensions. In addition, the tables do not display fields that contain information displayed elsewhere on the tab (contract name or element description, for example).
Adding or Changing Views
If you later need to change a view or add a new view, make the change or addition in wInsight and copy the updated WSCUSTOM.XML file to the Setup folder for wInsight Analytics. The next time the wInsight Analytics data load process runs, it copies the updated or added view to the wInsight Analytics data model. Following the data load, the system administrator must also open wInsight_Analytics.qvw and wInsight_Analytics_MutliProject.qvw, do a reload for each (click File > Reload), and save each of them.
