On the Data Validation and Views tab, the options you select under
Level of Detail to Display control the elements for which data is displayed. They also determine the level from which the validation alert counts are taken for the data validation tables (lowest element level, control account level, or work package level). On the WBS OBS View tab, these options control the WBS elements for which data is displayed in both the table and the chart.
If you want to display data for all elements, make no selections under
Level of Detail to Display.
To specify the level of elements for which you want to display data, complete the following steps:
-
Do any of the following:
- To display data for elements at selected structure levels, click
next to
Element Level under
Level of Detail to Display, and press and hold
CTRL as you click each level.
- To display data for either control accounts or work packages, click
next to
CA or WP under
Level of Detail to Display, and click either
Control Accounts or
Work Package.
- To display data only for the lowest level elements in the structure, click
next to
Lowest Level Only under
Level of Detail to Display, and click
Yes.
-
Repeat step 1 if you want to apply more than one of these options to further restrict the elements that are included.
For example, if you select a specific element level in
Element Level and also select
Control Accounts in
CA or WP, the table displays data only for control accounts assigned to elements at the specified structure level.
