The JTD and Planned Balance bars display what percent of the total planned bill or cost amount is JTD and what percent of the planned bill or cost amount remains for each expense type. As indicated in the legend, the percentage of JTD and Planned amounts are color coded so that you can easily distinguish between the two.
|
For example, the Planned bill amount is $150,000 for the Professional Fees expense type. The JTD bill amount as of today is $22,500. JTD represents 15% of the planned amount [(22,500 / 150,000) * 100] which leaves 85% of the planned amount. In this case, 15% of the bar is black and 85% is blue.
- JTD: This is the sum of all expense-related charges on posted transactions and committed purchase orders through today, divided by the total planned bill or cost for the expense type. The result is then multiplied by 100.
- Planned Balance: This is the percent of planned bill or cost that remains after determining the JTD percent.
The amount displayed in this bar will typically equal 100%; however, there may be situations where the amount is either a negative number or is greater than 100%.
- If there are no expense types, the chart displays No expense data.
- If there is JTD but no planned amount, the bar displays
Nothing planned.
- If there is no JTD or Planned Balance but the Expense Type displays in the grid, the bar is gray and the bar displays
No JTD or planned amount.
Note: You can hover over each individual expense type's progress bar to view a summary of the expense type's amounts.
