Enter or Update Data Using a Tablet Device

The alphanumeric fields in Vision Navigator function slightly differently when using a tablet device.

To enter or update data using a tablet device, complete the following steps:

1. Tap within the field where you want to enter or update data. Focus is placed on the selected field, indicating it is ready for data entry.
2. Enter data using one of these methods:
   • Date — A numeric keyboard automatically displays when focus is placed on these fields. Use the keyboard to enter the date, or select a date on the pop-up calendar.
   • Number — A numeric keyboard automatically displays when focus is placed on these fields. Enter a numeric value. Alphabetic characters are not accepted.
   • Text — An alpha keyboard automatically displays when focus is placed on these fields. Enter any combination of alphabetic characters or numeric values.
3. If you are updating data, the existing data is automatically replaced with the newly entered data.
