Indented Pivot View Table

The Indented Pivot View table displays the schedule variance (SV), cost variance (CV), and variance at completion (VAC) for all elements at each level of the WBS structure to which you drill down. To bring this table to the foreground, click the corresponding tab.

Table Format

The Indented Pivot View table is a pivot view object.

To drill down to the next level in the hierarchy, click in that element's cell in the Level column of the table.

To preserve the hierarchical presentation of the structure in the first column, this table does not allow you to change the sort order.

This table responds to all filters except Amount or Percent. Selecting Percent does not change anything.

Table Data

The Indented Pivot View table displays variance values for the selected contract for all elements in the structure hierarchy as of the period selected in Period. If you select a parent element without children (or at least one child element) in the Sort View table, the Indented Pivot View table would be empty.

Column Description
Structure elements This column displays the elements in the structure hierarchy. You can expand levels to drill down to lower level elements, or you can collapse levels if you want to hide lower level elements. To focus your analysis, you can select one element.

To select multiple elements that are not all listed together, click at the right end of the column heading of the Sort View table to display a list of the elements, and press the CTRL key as you click each element. You can also select multiple elements in the Unindented Elements list on the left side of the dashboard, and you can use that list to search for specific elements.

Whether or not indirect costs and management reserve are displayed in the grid is based on your selection in Exclude Indirect under Data Options.

SV This column displays the cumulative or current schedule variance amount or schedule variance percentage for each element.
CV This column displays the cumulative or current cost variance amount or cost variance percentage for each element.
VAC This column displays either the variance at completion amount or variance at completion percentage for each element.
