To accommodate companies located or doing business in countries other than the United States, PM Compass provides default date and time formats for reports based on your Regional and Language Options in Microsoft Windows. PM Compass also enables you to modify those default formats for individual reports and for individual report columns. (To review or change your Regional and Language Options for Windows, display the Windows Control Panel and double-click Regional and Language Options.)
The Layout tab on the options dialog box for a report displays the default date format for the report. That format, in turn, becomes the default format for each date field on the report. You can modify the default format on the Layout tab.
Use this option to indicate if you want the default to be the short, medium, or long date, the date and time combination, or the time.
This field displays a sample of how the date/time will display with the current options.
If the default date includes the time, select Use Separator from Regional Settings in the Time Options group box if you want to use the date separator from your Regional and Language Options in Windows. The date separator is the character that separates years from months, and months from days.
If you want to use a different separator, clear that check box and select a separator from the drop-down list in Date Separator. If you want to use a separator that is not in the drop-down list, enter the separator character in the field.
Select the order in which you want PM Compass to display the day, month, and year components of the date
Select this option to include the day in the display.
Select this option to include the month in the display.
Select this option to include the year in the display.
Select this option if you want dates to display all four digits of the year (for example, 2012). If you clear the option, dates only show the final two digits (for example, 12).
Select this option if you want dates to include leading zeros when the days or numerical months are less than 10 (01/09/2012). Clear the check box if you do not want PM Compass to display the leading zeros (1/9/2012).
If the default date includes the time, select Use Separator from Regional Settings in the Time Options group box if you want to use the time separator from your Regional and Language Options in Windows. The time separator is the character that separates hours from minutes, and minutes from seconds.
If you want to use a different separator, clear that check box and select a separator from the drop-down list in Time Separator. If you want to use a separator that is not in the drop-down list, enter the separator character in the field.
Select this option if you want times displayed based on a 24-hour clock rather than a 12-hour clock (1:00 p.m. displayed as 13:00).
Select this option if you want an A.M. or P.M. indicator displayed as part of the time (PM Compass uses the AM and PM indicators specified in your Regional and Language Options for Windows).
