Bar Sets

Use Bar Sets to set the types and colors of bars that display on the barchart (Gantt) in the Analysis Views. After a new installation or an upgrade, the Default bar set is selected for all projects. You must be a member of the SYSADMIN group to edit the Default bar set. If you are not a member of the SYSADMIN group and you view the Default bar set, the Selected and Edit columns in the grid are disabled.

Search

Use the Search field to search for a saved bar set.

Save

Click to save your bar set settings.

New

New Bar Set — Select this option to create a new bar set. The Default bar set selections display and you will need to enter a unique bar set name in the Bar Set field.
Copy Current Bar Set — Select this option to copy the current bar set. For example, if you like a current bar set but want to change one or two options, you can copy the current bar set, change the options, and save as a new bar set.
Select Bar Set to Copy — Select this option to search for and copy an existing bar set.

Delete

Click to delete the current bar set. You cannot delete the Default bar set or a bar set that is selected by one or more projects. If you delete a bar set that is saved by a user in the Analysis view, the next time the user accesses the Analysis view, the bar set reverts to the Default bar set.

Bar Set

This is the name of the displayed bar set. The first time you access the Bar Sets dialog box, the Default bar set displays.

Bar Set Grid

Column	Description
Selected	Use this column to indicate the bar types that you want to display for the selected bar set. You must be a member of the SYSADMIN group to change the bar set named Default. If you are not a member of the SYSADMIN group and you view the Default bar set, this field is disabled.
Bar Type	This column lists the available bar types: Activity Baseline — This represents the activity baseline. Activity Forecast — This represents the activity forecast. Activity Progress — This sits on top of the activity bar and is drawn from the Actual Start to Period End Date. Critical Activity — Activity bars change color based on critical. It does not display when you enter a change. Summary Forecast — This represents the summary forecast. Control Account Baseline — This represents the control account baseline. Control Account Forecast — This represents the control account forecast. Work Package Baseline — This represents the work package baseline. Work Package Forecast — This represents the work package forecast. Earned Value Progress — This is only for work packages / Earned Value progress.
Color	This column displays the color of the bar type. To select a different color, click the color and select a color from the Select Color dialog box. You must be a member of the SYSADMIN group to change the bar set named Default. If you are not a member of the SYSADMIN group and you view the Default bar set, this field is disabled.
