Link Center List View

When you select Link Center, PM Compass displays link information in tab view on the right pane. When you switch to grid view by clicking List View, PM Compass displays records in a grid format.

Double-click any row in the grid to switch to Form View. Alternatively, on the form toolbar, you can click Form View. If you have been viewing records in Form View, you can see the same records in the Link Center grid when you switch to List View.

You can use the FileExtensions.xml file to prevent users from uploading certain file types (for example, .bat, .ps1, .dll). For more information, see Denylist Folder.

Link Center Grid

This grid contains the following toolbar and columns:

Link Center

Click the drop-down arrow to display the following options:

  • Print — Select this option to display the Print Preview form.

  • Export to Excel — Select this option to open the Microsoft Excel application with the grid’s contents displayed.

  • Enable Grouping — Select this option to group column records in the grid. To group column data, you can drag a column header to a field above the column headers. The field only displays when this option is selected.

  • Selecting this option also displays (Filter icon) beside each column header. It allows you to specify filter criteria for a selected column. Clicking the icon displays a drop-down list with the following options:

    • (All) — Select this option to display all records.

    • (Custom) — Select this option to display the Custom Filter dialog box.

    • (Blanks) — Select this option to display all records for the selected column that do not contain information.

    • (NonBlanks) — Select this option to display all records for the selected column that contain information.  

    • Other options also display, depending on the columns that you select. For example, selecting the Name column that includes Name 1 also displays Name 1 in the Filter drop-down list.

Select Fields

Click this button on the form toolbar to display the Select Fields dialog box, which allows you to customize the fields that display when the Link Center form displays records in the List View.

Name

This column displays the name of the link. It also allows you to modify the name by selecting a row and then entering a new name. The value of each cell in this column is the same as the value of the Name field on the General tab.

Path

This column displays the complete path of the link. The path includes the exact location and file name, which you can click. The value of each cell in this column is the same as the value of the Path field on the General tab.

Description

This column displays the description for the link. The value of each cell in this column is the same as the value of the Description field on the General tab.

The Link Center toolbar displays the same buttons for both List View and Form View.
