Milestones

Select one of the following options from this drop-down list:

• Print — Select this option to display the Print Preview form.

• Export to Excel — Select this option to open the Microsoft Excel application with the grid’s contents displayed.

Field Name

Description

Milestone

This column displays the unique ID of the milestone.

Description

This column displays the milestone description.

Baseline Finish

This column displays the baseline finish date for the milestone. You cannot modify the date in this column.

This column is not available if the EVT is Earning Rules or Steps.

Actual Finish

This column displays the actual finish date for the milestone. You can modify the date in this column but the new date must not be later than the status date.

This column is not available if the EVT is Earning Rules or Steps.

Forecast Finish

This column displays the forecast finish date for the milestone. You can modify the date in this column if there is no date specified in the Actual Finish column for the milestone.

This column is not available if the EVT is Earning Rules or Steps.

Status

This column displays whether the milestone is In-progress, Planned, or Completed. Entering a date in the Actual Finish column automatically changes the milestone's status to Completed.

Weight

This column displays the weight of the milestone that will sum up to the work package. The total weight of the milestones for a work package is 100.

% Complete

This column displays how much of the milestone has been completed in percent.

This column is available only if the Allow percent complete on milestones/steps option is selected on the Preferences tab of the Project Information dialog box in Cobra.

Completed

An unmarked check box in this column indicates that the milestone status is either In-progress or Planned. Marking the checkbox changes the milestone status to Completed.

This column is not available if the Allow percent complete on milestones/steps option is selected on the Preferences tab of the Project Information dialog box in Cobra.
