Main Tab of the Schedule Dialog Box

Use this tab to specify the general settings for the schedule, including the queue, the start time, and the process settings.

Process Queue

Select the Process queue where you want the process or profile to run. Note the name of the process queue that you select because you will need it if you look for your scheduled process in the Process Queue Manager.

You can create a queue in the System Settings feature of the EPM Security Administrator.

If you are using MSP or Primavera P6 as your scheduling tool, and you access this dialog from the Schedule Integration tab, this field defaults to the MSP Integration or P6 Integration queue respectively. Deltek recommends using these default queues for MSP/Primavera P6 integration. See The MSP Integration Queue or P6 Integration Queue for more information.

Queue Status

This field displays the status of the queue. Its value can either be Running or Stopped.

Description

Enter the name of the process.

Start After

Use this field to indicate the earliest start date and time for the process or profile.

Click to select a date then select a time from the drop-down list.

You can also manually enter the time.

Deltek recommends scheduling the alert for a time when processing will not affect normal business processes, for example, 2:00am.

Submit to a Profile

Select this check box if you want to add the process to an existing profile. A profile is a group of processes that you can organize and submit as a single process to a process queue.

Select a profile from the list.

This field becomes disabled if you display the Schedule dialog box from the Profile Editor form.

Place Process on Hold

Select this check box if you do not want to send the process to the server.

You must release the process before it can run. You can also put the process on hold then release it using the Process Queue Manager.

Send Process Status Email Alert to Submitter

Select this check box if you want PM Compass to send an email to the process submitter when the process completes. You can also set this option using the Process Queue Detail dialog box. This option does not apply to progress entries.

If errors are encountered during a scheduled process, an email will be sent to the submitter regardless of whether this option is set.

Options

Click to display the Options dialog box where you can set the report printing options.
