Dela Tab

Use the Dela tab to set options related to using machine learning to approve or recommend approval of timesheets based on historical data and a confidence factor.

Note: This feature is disabled by default and is limited to the Standard timesheet class.

Key highlights include:

  • Approval Control: Select whether to auto-approve timesheets or simply recommend approval.
  • Confidence Level: Set the threshold that aligns with your comfort level for automatic approvals.
  • No Automatic Rejections: Timesheets are never automatically rejected, even when auto-approval is enabled. Notifications recommending rejection are sent instead.
  • Approval Notifications: Supervisors receive notifications for auto-approvals (if enabled) or notifications recommending approval.
  • Decision Logging: All actions are logged for transparency and auditing.

You can specify separate overtime rules for weekly, daily, seventh consecutive work day, holidays, Saturdays, or Sundays.

Auto Approve

Field Description
Mode

Use the Mode field to enable AI-assisted approvals. Options include:

  • Disable: This is the default option . Leave it selected to continue approving timesheets manually.
  • Enforce: This option automatically approves timesheets based on a selected confidence factor.
Note: An approval notification is sent directly after the signed timesheet is approved by Dela. If the timesheet is not approved, the supervisor is notified that manual approval is required.
  • Recommend: This option provides managers and supervisors with recommendations for approval or rejection, including supporting reasons, but it does not perform the approval.
Note: A recommendation is sent directly after the signed timesheet is reviewed by Dela.

If you select Enforce or Recommend, enter a percentage (0-100) in the Confidence Factor field to specify how closely new data must match historical data for approval. Higher percentages require greater similarity, while lower percentages allow more flexibility.

Confidence Factor

Adjust this setting based on your desired level of certainty. For example:

  • Low (1-50): This range is more flexible, but less accurate.
  • Medium (51-75): This range balances flexibility and accuracy.
  • High (76-100): This range only allows matches that closely align with historical data.
Note: All changes to these settings are tracked in the Auto Approval History Table.
