Highlighting of Threshold Variances

Threshold variance highlighting at the code or resource level in certain areas in Cobra follows the threshold logic set on the Thresholds tab of the Code view or on the Thresholds tab of the Resource view.

These areas and actions are as follows:
  • When using the Analyze utility on codes
  • When generating any of the following reports:
    • IPMR CPR Format 1 report
    • IPMR CPR Format 5 report
    • CPR Format 1 report
    • CPR Format 5 report
    • Earned Value report

Threshold color coding is described in the following table.

Variance that Reached Threshold Color
Value Orange
Percent (%) Yellow
Both Red

When using the And logic, Cobra highlights variances as follows:

  • If the percent threshold is reached and the value threshold is not reached, Cobra does not highlight the variance.
  • If the value threshold is reached and the percent threshold is not reached, Cobra does not highlight the variance.
  • If both the value and percent thresholds are reached, Cobra highlights the variance as red.

When using the Or logic, Cobra highlights variances as follows:

  • If the percent threshold is reached and the value threshold is not reached, Cobra highlights the variance as yellow.
  • If the value threshold is reached and the percent threshold is not reached, Cobra highlights the variance as orange.
  • If both the value and percent thresholds are reached, Cobra highlights the variance as red.
Note: The resource file uses the color coding associated with the Or logic. The code file uses the color coding associated with the Or and And logic.
