The alphanumeric fields in Vision Navigator function slightly differently when you use a tablet device. Disregard these instructions if you are using a keyboard attachment with your device.
To enter or update data using a tablet device, complete the following steps:

Tap in the field where you want to enter or update data.
Focus is placed on the selected field, to indicate that it is ready for data entry.

Enter data using one of the following methods:

A numeric keyboard displays when focus is placed on these fields. Use the keyboard to enter the date, or select a date on the pop-up calendar.

| Number |
A numeric keyboard displays when focus is placed on these fields. Enter a numeric value. Alphabetic characters are not accepted.

| Text |
An alpha keyboard displays when focus is placed on these fields. Enter any combination of alphabetic characters or numeric values.

If you are updating data, the existing data is automatically replaced with the data that you enter.
