Review or Print a Posting Log

Vision produces a posting log each time that you post a transaction file. You can print the posting log immediately after you post a file or you can schedule it to print at another time.

If your firm uses the Deltek First Vision Essentials cloud version of Vision, the Print option is not available. You can preview reports onscreen and then print the reports from the Preview window.

To review or print a posting log, complete the following steps:

  1. From the Vision Navigation menu, click Transaction Center > Posting Logs.
  2. In the Transaction Type field on the Posting Logs form, select the type of transaction.
  3. Highlight the transaction files for which you want to print a posting log.
  4. On the toolbar, click Posting Log and then select one of the following actions:
    • Click Print or Preview, specify options on the Posting Log dialog box, and click Run.

    • Click Schedule, specify the date and time on the Schedule dialog box, and click OK.

    You can identify the posting log by the posting sequence number or the date and time stamp of the posting.
