Purchasing Template

The Purchasing application has a default template that you can use to create purchase orders and requests for price quote. You can also use the Purchase Template Editor to create your own purchasing templates.

If you create a template yourself, it displays in the drop-down lists in:

• The P. O. Template field on the Buyers grid in Configuration > Purchasing & Inventory > Company Settings > Buyer/Approver tab.

• The RFQ/PO Template field in Info Center > Vendors > Accounting tab.

If your firm creates its own purchasing templates, Deltek recommends that you give each template a name that is easy to identify in lists.

You assign a template to:

• Each buyer for whom access to templates is necessary.

• Each vendor to whom you send purchase orders and requests for price quotes.
