Qualify and Convert a Lead
When you follow your firm's business rules to qualify a lead, you can convert the lead record to a contact, a client, or an opportunity. You can disqualify a lead if you do not think it is worth pursuing.
You can use only one combination of Convert Lead field settings at a time. To convert a set of lead records with one combination of field settings and then convert another set of leads with a different combination, you must repeat this procedure for each set of records that you convert.
To qualify and convert a lead, complete the following steps:
- From the Vision Navigation menu, click Info Center > Leads.

On the Lead Info Center form, click
Convert and select one of the following:
Option Description Convert Current Lead Select this option to convert the current lead record. Convert Active Group Select this option to convert all lead records currently active in the Lead Info Center. Select Leads to Convert Select this option to open the Lead Lookup and select the records that you want to convert. -
On the Convert Lead dialog box, complete one of the following actions:
- Click Qualify this Lead and continue with this procedure.
- Click Disqualify this Lead and click OK. You are done with this procedure.
- Select a status for the lead.
- Complete the other fields on the Convert Lead dialog box.
- Click OK.
