Federal Tab of SF255 Proposals Form

Use the Federal Tab to enter data for the Federal Projects page of a SF255 proposal.

Field Description
9. All work by firms or joint-venture members

Enter data manually in block 9 or click , Add Federal Projects and select projects from the Projects Lookup. The Project Lookup shows all of the projects whose project record has the Federal Project check box selected on the General tab.

Click in Block 9 for these options:

  • Add Projects — Use this option to add projects to a proposal intended for an agency that is not part of the Federal government.

  • Delete Federal Projects — Display a list of the projects on the form and delete the ones you do not want.

  • Reorder Federal Projects — Display a list of the projects on the form. To reorder them, click a project name then click Up or Down.

  • Select Graphics

  • Add Project Descriptions

a. Project Name & Location

For each project you add to Block 9 through , Add Projects or Add Federal Projects, Vision enters the Long Name from the General tab of the Projects Info Center and address data from the Locations tab.

You can also enter this data manually.

b. Nature of Firm's Responsibility

For each project you add to Block 9 thorough , Add Projects or Add Federal Projects, Vision enters data from the Projects Info Center > Background Tab > Descriptions grid for the Description Category selected on the 255 Preferences form.

c. Agency (Responsible Office)

For each project you add to Block 9 through , Add Projects or Add Federal Projects, Vision enters the Project Info Center data for the client and contact listed as Owner on the Clients/Contacts tab.

If the Owner is shown as the Primary Client on the General Tab, and is marked Confidential, this field is blank.

d. Percent Complete

For each project you add to Block 9 through , Add Projects or Add Federal Projects, Vision enters data from Overall Pct Comp on the Accounting tab of the Project Info Center.

If you specify it on the 255 Preferences form, Vision calculates this data by using data from Estimated Start Date and Estimated Completion Date on the Dates & Costs Tab of the Projects Info Center.

e. Estimated Cost

For each project you add to Block 9 through , Add Projects or Add Federal Projects, Vision enters data from Total Proj. Cost and Firm Responsibility Cost on the Dates & Costs tab of the Projects Info Center.
