Use the SF255 Proposals toolbar to enter or modify the information on SF255 proposals.

Field | Description |
Save

Click this option to display the Save Proposal dialog box and specify the following information:

Proposal Name — Enter the name of the new SF255 proposal. The proposal is stored in the
Vision database under this name, but the name is not shown on the completed proposal.

Date Advertised — This is the date when the United States government agency put a notice in "Federal Business Opportunities" about the project. To select the date, use the popup calendar. The proposal does not show this date.
Vision uses this date when you search the
Vision database for SF255 proposals by date.

Proposal Due Date — This is the deadline for submitting the SF255 proposal. To select the date, use the popup calendar. The proposal does not show this date.
Vision uses this date when you search the
Vision database for SF255 proposals by date.

Click this option and then select an option for creating a new 255 proposal:

Delete SF255
|
Click this option to delete the current 255 proposal from the
Vision database. If you delete a proposal from the
Vision database, you
cannot undo the deletion.

Open
|
Click this option and select an existing proposal from the SF255 Lookup.

Edit
|
Click this option and select one of the following:

Preferences — Opens the 255 Preferences dialog box, where you can review and change formatting and other settings for SF255 proposals.

Template Editor — Opens the SF255 Template Editor dialog box, where you can create, change, and manage SF255 merge templates.

Create Proposal Log
|
Click this option to display the Proposal dialog box, where you can enter basic information about a proposal effort, including the name of any opportunity associated with the proposal.

Merge
|
Click
Merge to display the Merge SF255 Form dialog box, where you can start the procedure to merge
Vision data into an SF255 proposal document.

Click this option to display the
Vision online help for SF255 Proposals.
