How Vision Calculates Overall Percent Completes

In calculating the overall percent complete for a project, Vision uses all the record-level percent complete figures unless you specify overrides.

Vision displays the overall percent complete in the Budget Summary dialog box. This figure is a weighted average percent complete, calculated in this way:

(All Percent Completes * Their Budgets) / Total Project Budget

All percent completes also include a percent complete for overhead, which is equal to the weighted average percent complete for labor.
