Convert Phase Keys

Use the Phase Key Conversion utility to change a phase number or to close out (consolidate) phase number data into a single phase number.

You can consolidate data between two existing phase numbers. Alternatively, you can set up a new phase number in which to close out phase numbers that are no longer in use.

When you consolidate phase numbers, Vision:

• Consolidates budgets and data in the project financials table.

• Deletes the billing terms and invoice data (if this is the last phase for a project).

• Deletes the billing terms and invoice data when you convert a project to a phase on another project.

Prerequisite: Back up your Vision database.

To change phase numbers, complete the following steps:

1. From the Vision Navigation menu, click Utilities > Key Conversions > Phases.
2. Complete the fields on the Key Convert Phases form.
3. Select one of the following actions:

   Option	Description
   To save the conversion to run later	Click Save.
   To run the conversion now	Click Run.
   To schedule the conversion to run on a regular basis via the process server	Click Schedule and complete the Schedule dialog box.
