System Dashparts

You can create multiple dashparts of the same type on your Dashboard. These multiple dashparts are referred to as "system" dashparts.

With system dashparts, you can split up and reorganize dashparts to create a more functional Dashboard. For example, you can create a Vendor dashpart called "Vendors in my region."

You can create multiple system dashparts for the following dashpart types: Activities, Applications, Clients, Contacts, Employees, Leads, Links, Marketing Campaigns, Opportunities, Project Plans, Projects, Proposals, Reports, and Vendors.

Access to system dashparts is based on a user's role. Administrators can use the System Dashparts setting in the Functional Area drop-down field on the Access Rights tab in Role Security to restrict which types of system dashparts a user can add to his or her Dashboard.
