Add a Links Dashpart

Use the Links dashpart to add links to your Dashboard for your frequently used Web sites, email addresses, and documents.

To add a Links dashpart, complete the following steps:

  1. Click Dashboard at the top of the screen.
  2. On the toolbar, click Configure.
  3. Click Add System Dashpart.
  4. Enter a name for the dashpart.
  5. From the Dash Part Types drop-down list, select Links, and click OK.
  6. From the drop-down next to the dashpart name, select New Record.
  7. On the Add Links dialog box, select a Link Type and a corresponding URL Link.
  8. If you want the link to be identified by a caption in the dashpart, enter a URL Caption. For example, use the caption Google instead of http://www.google com.
  9. Click Save.
