Welcome to the Deltek Vantagepoint 7.0.3 Release Notes, which describe the new features and enhancements introduced in this release.
These release notes address all of the modules associated with Deltek Vantagepoint 7.0, some of which your firm may not use. Skip the sections that do not apply to your implementation.
New Biller Name Column Now Available for Improved Project Earnings Report Performance
You can now add a Biller Name column to the Project Earnings report, to display the names of employees designated as billers for the applicable levels (project, phase, and tasks) in the work breakdown structure.
This example of the Project Earnings report includes the new column:
Defect 2125124: This issue applies if you have multiple companies in Vantagepoint and a project has the Restrict Charge Companies checkbox selected and a company specified on the Accounting tab in the Projects hub. On the Labor tab of the Interactive Billing form, when you transferred labor for the project, the Restrict Charge Companies setting was not honored. Transfers were made that should not have been allowed.
Defect 2111066: When you selected the Include Missing Charges from Prior Statements option on the Charges tab, Vantagepoint did not include uncleared charges from a previous statement and cleared the values of the Missing Charge Amount column for all posted charges in the current statement.
Defect 2136110: This issue occurred when you processed a Wire type AP Payment with the Check Per Voucher option set to Yes and you selected multiple lines for the same voucher. The Amount and Cash Basis Amount fields were blank in Vendor Payments postings.
Defect 2110110: This issue occurred in Hubs » Projects » Project and in Hubs » Projects » Plan. When you updated and saved changes to the project record while the project record was still loading, the application stopped responding.
Defect 2105179: When you added a new phase or task to a project and the user-defined values were copied from a project level to a lower level, a duplicate GUID was created in the Seq column.
Defect 2138219: When you selected columns for the Office Earnings report and clicked Apply, the process did not complete and you received an error message.
Defect 2128765: When you ran the Project Forecast report, or reports created from it, you received the following error message if you set the Collapse/Expand option to Collapsed or Expanded in the Grouping and Sorting grid for the last group in the grid: "SQL Reporting Error creating Project Forecast RDL file: 'The grouping 'MainTable_Details_Group' has 'groupHeader1_GroupColumn' as a toggle item. Toggle items must be text boxes that share the same scope as the hidden item or are in a scope that contains the hidden item, and cannot be contained within the current report item unless current grouping scope has a Parent.' "
Defect 2134845: This issue applies if you set up a Vantagepoint database with a read-only replica. When you tried to print a project report, such as the Office Earnings or Project Earnings report, with the Budget Source option set to Project Planning Budget or Project Baseline Budget on the report Options tab, you received the following error message: "SQL Reporting Error creating RDL file."
Defect 2142418: After you upgraded to Vantagepoint 7.0, you encountered performance issues in the Timesheet application and in other approval applications.
Defect 2149428: When you worked on the Timesheets form, the Comment dialog box closed when you entered a timesheet comment and then pressed the ENTER key to add another line of text.
Defect 2112744: In the payroll journal of a bonus payroll run, the values under the Current column of the Withholdings section were incorrect and overstated the Local wages on the W2s. This issue occurred for employees who had the following settings specified on the Payroll tab of the Employees form (in the Employees hub):
The Locale Method option was set to Percentage of Wages.
In the Withholding grid, the employee had one or more withholding codes that were configured as a local type in Settings » Payroll » Withholding Codes, in the desktop application.
Defect 2154310: In the Gains, Losses and Revaluations section of the Posting Accounts form, you were unable to edit entries in the Account, Project, Phase, and Task fields.
Defect 2093878: This issue occurred if you have multiple companies in Vantagepoint. On the Unit Tables form, when you clicked + Add Units to add a unit to the Units grid, the Item field did not display on the Add Unit dialog box.
Defect 2125126: The Include Add-ons When Reporting at Billing Rates option did not display in the Detailed Transactions section. This issue occurred when you did not define a labor code structure or add labor codes in Vantagepoint.
Defect 2138672: In the General Employees Override grid on the Billing Labor Override Tables form, you should have been able to enter a value in the Category field that was not included in the drop-down list in the field.
Defect 2057980: When the timesheet that you posted on the Time and Expense Posting form had units but no hours, the timesheet still displayed as available for posting and you were able to post units more than once.
Defect 2101494: When you re-created a transaction entry file, the line items in the Project Information grid were disabled in the new record. This issue occurred if the original transaction entry file was set to recur and had been posted.
Defect 2123336: When you changed the value of the Bank field to a bank that used the same currency as the original bank, the values of the Amount field of the detail lines in the Project Information grid were reset to zero.
Defect 2086408: When you used the Transfer Settings form to import Vantagepoint settings to a target database, you received this error message: "You do not have rights to update this record."
This issue occurred if you performed the following actions:
In the source database, you edited an area with Screen Designer.
In the source and target databases, you disabled the required modules for the edited area.
In the source database, you exported the Vantagepoint settings on the Transfer Settings form.
Defect 2137075: When you generated reports through the Queue Manager, the processes failed. This issue occurred when you set the following options in the Weblink Utility:
On the Report Server tab, you selected the Use Alternate Database for Reporting checkbox and specified an alternate database in the Database Name field.
On the General tab, in the Virtual Dir (optional) field, you entered a virtual directory.
