Welcome to the Deltek Vantagepoint 5.5.10 Release Notes, which describe the new features and enhancements introduced in this release.

These release notes address all of the modules associated with Deltek Vantagepoint 5.5, some of which your firm may not use. Skip the sections that do not apply to your implementation of Deltek Vantagepoint.

APIs


Expose Key Format API Endpoints

Use the new Key Format API endpoints to identify the organization structure, the organization levels, the number of digits for each level, and the delimiter. These API endpoints honor existing validations and restrictions as well as security requirements at the application level.

Billing >> Batch Billing


Defect 1857185: This issue applies if you set the Export Report as Files option to Allow Reports to be Uploaded via SFTP in Settings » General » Options. On the Billing Session Options dialog box in Batch Billing, the Save File As field did not prefill with the selection that you made for it the last time that you were in Batch Billing, as it should have.


Hubs >> Firms >> Voucher Review


Defect 1887423: The Amount and Last Payment Amount columns on the Voucher Review form were not displaying the correct total of all vouchers listed in the grid. The total amounts for both columns only included amounts for the first 50 vouchers listed.


Hubs >> Projects >> Plan


Defect 1894652: When you used a weekly or monthly scale, the Actual Hours values in the Labor tab were rounded each day, causing timesheets to display incorrect total values for actual hours.


Defect 1921494: When you opened a project plan that had a large amount of data, it took a long time to open.

Defect 1921923: When you created a touchpoint for the active project in the Projects hub, you were not automatically added as the owner of the touchpoint.


Hubs >> Projects >> Revenue Forecast


Defect 1911554: On the Revenue Forecast form, the amount in the JTD Revenue field was incorrectly calculated using postings that were based on transaction dates instead of the posting period. As a result, the calculated value of the JTD Earned Revenue in Revenue Forecast did not match the value of the JTD Earned Revenue field in Project Review. (Vantagepoint now calculates the revenue amount using posting periods through the last period.)


My Stuff >> Calendar


Defect 1869521: This issue occurred when you copied a timesheet to add to the Calendar form. When you adjusted the new timesheet by moving or reducing the time to fit with existing entries for the day, Vantagepoint displayed overlapping calendar entries.

Defect 1942035: This issue occurred in the Accounts Receivable predefined dashboard, or in dashboards that had a dashpart with the following settings:

When you displayed the affected dashboard, you received an error message.


My Stuff >> Expense Report


Defect 1858952: When you added an expense line from an imported credit card transaction, the Payment Amount field reflected an incorrect amount. This issue occurred for multicurrency transactions when the credit card used was in a different currency than the functional currency of the company.


Defect 1937697: You received a deadlock error, or you received a "Please wait" message, and then the application stopped processing. You encountered this performance issue if Vantagepoint was running a query on the background and you were doing either of the following:

Defect 1872922: When you generated a Labor Resource Planned and Actuals report, it took several minutes to complete processing.


Defect 1930894: This issue occurred on the Voucher Ledger report if you were using multiple currencies and had vouchers with different currency payments and gain and loss entries. Even when affected vouchers were already paid, they displayed with a balance.


My Stuff >> Timesheet


Defect 1930654: This issue occurred on a converted record when, in Hubs » Projects » Project, you set the budget validation of time records based on the project plan and then specified to use plan information for both the labor code and employee. On the Labor Code Lookup dialog box in Timesheets, the labor code to which you wanted to charge time was not available for your selection.


Resource Management


Defect 1916799: This issue occurred in some large databases. When you grouped resources on the Grid Setting dialog box of the Resource Management report and Vantagepoint returned large amounts of data results, the total values for the Range ETC Hours, Range Planned Hours, and Range Utilization Hours columns displayed incorrect or undefined amounts.


Search


Defect 1915251: In Project Search, if you tried to filter projects by a specific invoice number instead of by the project associated with the invoice, the search incorrectly returned multiple records in the Search Criteria grid. This issue occurred when you set the following options in the grid:

  1. You set the Select a Field to Invoices - Invoice.

  2. You set the Operator field to =.

  3. In the Add Value field, you specified the invoice number.


Defect 1941939: This issue occurred when you selected the Find words that sound the same when performing searches checkbox in My Preferences and you asked Hey Deltek! to search for a firm record. When you entered a similar sounding firm name in the command, Hey Deltek! did not return results.


Settings >> Cash Management >> Credit Cards


Defect 1765790: On the Options tab of the Credit Cards form, although the default value for the Separate Import Into Secondary Credit Card By option was Secondary Account Number, that value did not display as one of the choices in the drop-down list for the option.


Settings >> General >> Analysis Cubes


Defect 1945304: This issue occurred when you, in Screen Designer for the Projects hub, selected the Available for Analysis Cubes checkbox on the Field Settings dialog box for a user-defined field. Subsequently, that user-defined field was not available on the Calculated Measures tab of the Calculated Measures dialog box in Analysis Cubes settings.

Defect 1932398: When you entered a password that exceeded 50 characters in the Password field on the Communications form, you received the following error message: "String or binary data would be truncated. The statement has been terminated."


Settings >> General >> Options


Defect 1946615: In the Enabled Languages section of the form, all languages that you had deleted previously were added back to the list. This issue occurred after you upgraded to Vantagepoint 5.5.8.


Settings >> Rate Tables >> Billing Expense Accounts


Defect 1920474: This issue occurred when the unused rate table record that you tried to delete had the same Table Number as another, different type of rate table record, and the other rate table record was currently being used in a project. When you tried to delete an affected rate table record from the Billing Expense Accounts Tables form, you received an error message indicating that the rate table record was still in use for another project.


Transaction Center >> AP Invoice Approvals


Defect 1874536: When you uploaded a file to create an AP Invoice record, the number of records did not update in the Search Navigation controls on the AP Invoice Approvals form. You also were not able to find the new record when you entered a value for the Approval ID in the Record Selection pane.


Defect 1894629: This issue applies for vendors with a default tax code. On the AP Invoice Approvals form, when you uploaded an AP invoice to submit for approval, added multiple rows in the Project Information grid, copied a row in the grid to create a new row, and clicked Save, you may have received the following error message: "Account <xxxx> is inactive. Record <xxxx> already exists and cannot be added."

If you then clicked the Total Tax Amount field in the Projects Information grid for the row that was created using the Copy action, a duplicate tax row with a zero amount incorrectly displayed on the Tax Codes dialog box.


Defect 1909256: This issue occurred when you, in Settings » Workflow »  Approval Workflows (in the desktop application), set up Vantagepoint to automatically generate a voucher when an AP Invoice Approval record is approved. When you approved an AP Invoice Approval record, you encountered the following issues:


Utilities >> Updates >> Search and Replace


Defect 1866641: This issue occurred when you used the Search and Replace utility to update a drop-down field from a user-defined hub that had been added to the Firms hub. When you made an entry in the Value field on the Search and Replace form, you received the following error message: "An error occurred saving the Search and Replace." If you tried again, the search and replace was successfully saved.
