Welcome to the Deltek Vantagepoint 4.5.2 Release Notes, which describe the new features and enhancements introduced in this release.
These release notes address all of the modules associated with Deltek Vantagepoint 4.5, some of which your firm may not use. Skip the sections that do not apply to your implementation of Deltek Vantagepoint.
Ohio 2021 Tax Update
Ohio's withholding methods have been revised effective September 1, 2021, to incorporate lowered income tax rates. The new tables take into consideration the income tax rate reductions that went into effect when House Bill 110 (134th General Assembly) was signed into law on July 1, 2021.

Support for OAuth Banks
You can now import bank transactions from banks that use OAuth as an access delegation protocol. In Settings » Cash Management » Banks, use the Plaid setup assistant to connect an OAuth bank with Plaid.
During set up, you are re-directed to the OAuth bank's log in page, where you must enter your credentials. Depending on the bank's security protocols, you might need to provide additional information such as your mobile number or a bank-provided code. Then, you select the bank accounts from which Vantagepoint will import transactions.
After successfully connecting the bank accounts with Plaid, you are again directed to the Plaid setup assistant and you must select the bank accounts again and finish the set up.
If you click the Refresh Connection button on the Connections tab of the Banks form, you are redirected to the bank's log in page. You then need to enter your credentials and select accounts, as you did during initial setup and activation.
Vantagepoint Information Center
The help drop-down menu that you access by clicking the question mark at the top right of the Vantagepoint screen now provides a link to the Vantagepoint Information Center Page.

System-Wide and Company-Specific Changes
Vantagepoint Service Estimates have been enhanced in the following areas:
Settings » Project » Service Estimates: The Service Estimates form is now organized into system-wide and company-specific settings. Default labor categories and billing multipliers are now company-specific.
Projects Hub » Estimates, on the Summary Tab:
The default settings for Labor Rate Category and Billing Multipliers default from the project’s company-specific setting. Also, you can now update billing multipliers directly in the project, instead of only in Settings.
If Multicompany is enabled, the first time that you save a project without an organization designation, no default labor categories are applied.
If Multicurrency is enabled, the rate tables now match the cost currency of the project.
Next Company Invoice Number Field on the Billing Session Options Dialog Box Is Now Read-Only
Previously in Billing » Interactive Billing and Billing » Batch Billing, you could change the number in the Next Company Invoice Number field on the Billing Session Options dialog box if you specified the following settings on the Options form in Settings » Billing » Options:
You set Invoice Numbering to Companywide.
You set Allow Changes to Next Invoice Number to Yes.
Now with these settings, the Next Company Invoice Number field on the Billing Session Options dialog box is read-only. To change the next company-wide invoice number, you must update the Next Invoice Number field in Settings » Billing » Options.
This change does not affect the ability to change the next invoice number on the Assign Invoice Number dialog box that opens when you click Other Actions » Assign Invoice Number on the Interactive Billing form.
Upgrade Touch Server to PHP 8.0.11
The Touch Server for this version of the Vantagepoint mobile application has been upgraded to support PHP 8.0.11.
Updates to the Redistribute Hours Dialog Box
In Hubs » Project » Plan, the Redistribute Hours dialog box was updated to display the From and To date fields only when you select Specify Date Range and to hide the date fields for other selections. In addition, the options under the Spread the Differences check box were updated to provide more explicit choices for spreading both negative and positive differences or spreading only positive differences.
Defect 1420160: When you updated a user-defined field on a contact record, you did not receive a workflow alert after the update.
Defect 1538237: On the Overview tab of the Firms hub, when you updated the Description field in the Addresses grid and tried to save it, the save did not complete.
Defect 1530329: When you tried to log in to the Vantagepoint desktop application using single sign-on, you received an Invalid Login error message.
Defect 1515817: The Ext JS framework and latest versions of the Cordova framework incorrectly identified the iPad operating system as macOS.
Defect 1515763: On the Generate Users dialog box, when you set the Username Format option or the Initial Password option to Employee Number, the generated username or password did not include the delimiter that you specified for employee numbers in Utilities » Key Formats » Employees.
