Welcome to the Deltek Vantagepoint 2.0.16 Release Notes, which describe the new features and enhancements introduced in this release.

These release notes address all of the modules associated with Deltek Vantagepoint 2.0, some of which your firm may not use. Skip the sections that do not apply to your implementation of Deltek Vantagepoint.


Software Issues Resolved


Billing >> Interactive Billing


Defect 1288793: On the Fees tab in Interactive Billing, the Fee field should have been disabled and not editable when the following applied: On the Fees tab in Billing Terms for a project, the Fee Method option was set to Cumulative Unit or Fee or Current Unit or Fee and the Fee Basis option was set to Unit Based or Percent of Construction.


Cash Management >> Employee Payments


Defect 1282058: On the Employee Payments form, when you processed a payment run and an employee's expense total balance was negative, the employee was not displayed in the Employee Balances grid for the payment run. However, if you cross checked the employee by clicking Other Actions » Employee Ledger Report and then selecting the Unpaid Expense Reports check box in the Reporting Amounts section on the Options tab, you could see that there was an unpaid expense for that employee.


Defect 1291565: When you unposted a voided employee check, the voucher was not marked as paid in Expense Reports and enabled for payment again in Employee Payments, as it should have been.


Hubs >> Projects >> Draft Invoice Approvals


Defect 1262904: When you displayed an invoice on the Draft Invoice Approvals form in the Projects hub, the dates in the Bill Through Date, Bill Through Period, and Period Start/End Date fields on the Billing Session Options dialog box did not match the dates previously set using the Billing Session Options dialog box in Interactive Billing when you submitted the invoice.


Defect 1284540: In the Projects hub, when you changed the key employee in a role that approved billing invoices for the project (for example the project manager role), the newly assigned employee was unable to approve billing invoices in Draft Invoice Approvals. The Approval button was not available.


Defect 1288997: When you tried to update fees and the fee method had billing phases, you received a "You do not have rights to update this record" error message. This occurred even though you had record access rights to update Percent Complete in Billing Terms (Settings » Security » Roles on the Record Access tab).

Defect 1293258: This issue occurred when you logged in with the English/International language. On the Properties dialog box that displays when you edit column properties on the Dashpart Designer form, the following color selection fields were not displaying correctly for columns with conditional cell formatting:

Defect 1297060: When no special category was in use and you attempted to delete all lines from an incorrect timesheet, the lines continued to display after you saved.

Defect 1291150: In the Properties section on the Unit Tables form, if you updated and then saved unit information that was related to projects that had no WBS3 level (tasks), when you navigated to the next unit, you received an error message: "Credit task not valid."

Defect 1298437: The Global Table of Accounts was missing after you created a new rate table.


Settings >> Security >> Roles


Defect 1272949: When you logged in and Vantagepoint was configured with multiple companies, you were incorrectly logged in to the home company of the employee who configured the role that was assigned to you. This occurred if that employee configured your assigned role in Settings » Security » Roles with the following search criterion in the Organization Record Access field: Region/Company equal to "Is Mine".

Defect 1289798: This issue occurred when you had the same employee entered in the Employee field for two separate user records on the Users form in Settings » Security » Users, and one user record had the Enable Cloud ODBC Connectivity check box selected and the other did not. When you changed the employee in the Employee field for the user record that did not have the Enable Cloud ODBC Connectivity check box selected, the original employee entered for the user record should still have had ODBC credentials, based on the other user record, which did have the Enable Cloud ODBC Connectivity check box selected. However, their ODBC connection credentials were incorrectly deleted.


Transaction Center >> AP Invoice Approvals


Defect 1290468: This issue applies if you have multiple companies in Vantagepoint. If you created a new voucher file in AP Invoice Approvals and gave it the same name as an existing voucher file in another company, the vouchers were incorrectly added to the existing voucher file for the other company.


Transaction Center >> Transaction Entry >> Journal Entries


Defect 1288822: When there was a large number of lines in a journal entry, you experienced slow performance.


Security Enhancements

Issue: Issue: Updated Vantagepoint public REST API methods to better handle users with blank passwords. (Issue 1298819)

Severity: Critical

Status: Fixed.
