Schedule Page

You use the Schedule page to plan and schedule tasks, jobs, allocations, and resources.

There are several ways of scheduling in TrafficLIVE. Job Schedule schedules around the job. Other alternatives are to view people and add tasks to them in Staff Scheduler.

Job Schedule automatically takes account of non-working times such as start of day, end of day, lunch time, public holidays, and agency away days. You can override these settings if you need to.

Use Job Schedule to:
  • Plan the duration of a job and each individual task.
  • Set dependencies.
  • Schedule the job automatically, based on deadlines and dependencies.
  • Add resources, with TrafficLIVE guiding staff allocation, based on staff skills AND availability.
  • Make either real staff allocations, or staffing requests for approval by others (dependent on permissions).
  • Visually track job progress.
  • Replan and move resources.
  • Schedule recurring tasks.

You can navigate using breadcrumbs and by scrolling through records.

TrafficLIVE allows you to allocate as many people as you want to a single task and determine when those people will work. The blocks of work need not be linear; for example, you can set two hours on Monday and one hour on Friday.

When you allocate someone to a task, it is called an allocation. When an allocation is broken up into smaller durations (commonly broken up by day or other gaps for non-working time), these are called intervals.

Display the Schedule Page

You can access the Schedule page from:
  • The Job Search page, by hovering over the job number and then clicking to display the job schedule.
  • The Financials page by clicking on the Schedule button at the top of the page.
