Schedule Page Fields and Buttons

Use the fields and buttons on the Schedule page to view, import, export, and set schedule information.

Above the Grid / Gantt Chart

Field Description
Breadcrumbs The breadcrumbs display the client, project, and job.
  • Click on the project breadcrumb (name of the project) to display the Job Search page with the list of jobs associated with that project.
  • Click on the client breadcrumb (name of the client) to display the Job Search page with the list of jobs associated with that client.
Click to display the Financials page. When you are on the Financials page, this button label changes to Schedule.
You can use the scroll arrows to scroll through the records. The x of x to the right of the scroll arrows shows you which record you are on, out of the total number of available records.

Click back to search to return to the Job Search page.

Click to create a link to this page on your home page for easy access.
Refresh Click to refresh the current view.
Click to display the Job Schedule Settings pop-up to access the settings for this page.
Click to zoom in and out of the Gantt chart.
Click to zoom so that the jobs all fit in the viewable area.
Click to view today's date on the Gantt chart.
Click to view the Gantt chart in day, week, or month view.
When you select this option, any resources that you drag and drop onto the task are automatically scheduled for the start of the task. If you do not select this option, the resources that you drag and drop onto a task are scheduled to begin on the date at which you dropped them.

Selecting this option does not affect the viewing of the schedule.

Click to print the current job schedule as a PDF file.
Click to display or close the Task Info/Staff Allocation sidebar, where you can review details about tasks and assign employees to tasks.

Bottom of the Page

Field Description
Click to display the Auto Schedule Settings pop-up, where you can set the auto schedule options.
Click to display the Shift Schedule Settings pop-up, where you can set the shift schedule options.
Click to export as an XML file, suitable for use in Microsoft Project.
Click to import an XML file from Microsoft Project.
Click to update a Microsoft Project file.
Click to cancel any changes you have made to the page.
Click to save changes you have made to the page.

Grid

Field Description
Stage / Task This column displays the stages, tasks, and milestones. You can expand a task (click the arrow to the left of the task) to see the names and dates/times of the employees assigned to the tasks (if any).
TrafficLIVE displays the job stages with a blue icon and the tasks/milestones with a yellow icon .
  • Hover over a task name to see the task ID.
  • Hover over an employee to see the job title and personal rate charge band.
  • Double-click on a task to view that task (from start to finish) in the Gantt chart.
Status This field displays the status of any allocations and displays either Pending or Approved.
Happy Rating This is the happy rating for the task, set by the person who is allocated to work on the task in My Calendar.
Start / Finish These columns display the start and end dates and times for the tasks/milestones.

Gantt Chart

Field Description
The stage displays the time and duration of the stage, as well as the hours burned (if any).
The text next to a task displays the number of hours available/over-allocated to a job and the allocated resource(s). If no resource has been allocated, only the hours are displayed.
A blue rectangle is a task with its hours and progress.
A red ring around a task indicates that work has been allocated past a task deadline.
A black diamond is the symbol for a milestone.
Use this cursor to move the task to a different date/time. To do this, hover over the task until your cursor changes.
Use this cursor to change a task duration. To do this, hover over the task until your cursor changes.
Click this icon on the task to add a constraint (dependency) to a task. To view the icon, hover over the task, then click the icon to display the Constraint pop-up. You can add the following constraints:
  • End to Start
  • Start to End
  • Start to Start
  • End to End
A green arrow between tasks means that a dependency is resolved (possible).

A red arrow between tasks means that a dependency is unresolved (not possible). There is an issue with the constraint. You can correct this using Auto Schedule or by manually scheduling the tasks.
