Use Stages with Line Items

Use these steps to use stages with line items on a quote.

You can use stages to group line items on a quote, if appropriate. A stage aggregates the total of all of the task hours and the corresponding price within it, giving a stage total. Using stages is optional. You can place only task type line items in stages, not purchases or expenses type line items.

To use stages with line items, complete the following steps:

  1. Display a quote on the Add/Edit Quote page (for a new quote) or the Quotes page (for an existing quote).
  2. Click at the bottom of the page. A default stage appears in the data grid. You can edit the stage information as appropriate.
  3. Click and hold the to drag and drop line items into the stage as needed.
  4. Click .
