You can configure PM Compass so that progress either has to go through an approval process or needs no approval. However, you cannot have some progress that needs approval and some that does not.
By default, the Progress entry type that is installed with PM Compass includes an approval process.
To change to a Progress entry type that does not require approval, you must import the Default Progress No-Approval_Oracle.CSV (for Oracle) or Default Progress No-Approval_SqlServer.CSV (for SQL Server) entry type from the ItemTypeExport folder.
To change back to having progress approved, you must import the Default Progress_Oracle.CSV (for Oracle) or Default Progress_SqlServer.CSV (for SQL Server) entry type.
