Create a Scheduled Alert for the Comprehensive EAC Workflow

Follow this procedure to set up a scheduled alert to automatically create one Comprehensive EAC workflow per control account in a project using the Scheduled Alerts form.

To create a scheduled alert:

  1. On the Navigation menu, click Administration » Alerts » Scheduled Alerts.

  2. In the Scheduled Alerts form, select Projects in the Area field.

  3. In the Alerts grid, click Insert to add a new row in the grid.

  4. In the Alert Table column, select Control Account.

  5. In the Description column, enter a description for the alert (for example, Auto create Comprehensive EAC workflow).

  6. In the Conditions column, click to display the Conditions dialog box and set the conditions for the alert.

  7. You must specify a Cobra project that contains the cost set selected on Cost Details on Form tab of Workflow Type Configuration. The default cost set is Prior EAC.

    The conditions above will automatically create one Comprehensive EAC workflow for each control account in the specified project.

  8. In the Actions grid, click Insert and select Create Workflow.

  9. In the Create Workflow Configuration dialog box, do the following:

To create a condition that will automatically generate this workflow type for a specific control account, click the Conditions column for Create Workflow in the Actions grid, set the Column column to ControlAccount.<ControlAccountField> (for example, Control Account User Numeric Field 1) and the Operator column to Equals, and select the control account in the Value column.
