File Folders Tab of the System Settings Form

PM Compass provides options for storing files, logs, and links in multiple locations. Deltek recommends creating a shared network folder named DeltekPMCompass in a central folder location.

For all fields, you can enter or edit the central UNC path, for example, \\<servername>\DeltekPMCompass\, and then create a subfolder. The folder can be located anywhere that the account running the PM Compass Process Server service and the PM Compass Application Pool on the Web/Application Server can access. The accounts must have full read/write access to the folder and the Process Server account needs read/write access to the folder.

The path that you enter here displays as the default folder location. Users who have permissions can create sub-folders in which to save files, but they cannot select another location.

All fields on this tab are required.

Integration Process Logs

Use this field to enter or edit the UNC path for:

The process logs folder can be located anywhere that the account running the PM Compass Process Server service and the PM Compass Application Pool on the Web/Application Server can access.

This folder (for example, MSP Logs) is used to store the logs generated when the application processes the Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 files. Each log file includes the project name, date, and time (example: SHIP_MspExport_20160616094733.log) so that you can review how old processes ran.

PM Compass needs file scan rights to this folder and the Process Server account needs read/write access to this folder.

The MSP/Primavera P6 integration will not work if this path is blank or incorrect. In addition, you cannot delete it if there are existing projects connected to the MSP/Primavera P6 integration.
