Use this dialog box to find a specific record in the Change Details View grid.
Place your cursor in the Change Details View grid column in which you want to search, and take one of the following actions to display the Find dialog box:
Right-click the cell, and select Find.
Click Find in the grid toolbar.
Press CTRL+F.
When you search data using the Find dialog box, PM Compass searches the database rather than the grid content. After making changes in Change Details, you should save before using the Find dialog box if you are searching for data that you may have changed in the current session so that newly changed data is included in the search. You cannot search on calculated fields (for example, CV%, SV%, and so on). Requested dates are calculated when you expand the work package node to display the activities. You can only find changed requested dates after the scheduler step.
Use this field to enter or select the text for which you want to search.
If the search column is a calculated field column (for example, CV%, SV%, and so on), the Find What field is populated with the first control account field (usually WBS).
If the search column is Duration, you must enter the same units as displayed in the grid to find the duration. If you select the Match entire cell contents option, you must include the duration units.
This field displays the name of the selected column in which to perform the search. This is the column in which your cursor was active when you clicked Find. If you did not place your cursor into any cell before clicking Find, this field defaults to the first control account field (usually WBS).
Match case: Select this option to have PM Compass find only those records that match the upper and lowercase text that you enter in the Find What field.
Match entire cell contents: Select this option to have PM Compass match the entire text in the Find What field. This is useful if you know the exact text that you want to find. For example, if you enter My Test and select this option, PM Compass will not find My Test Field.
Click this button to expand the grid contents and set the focus on the first/next record in the grid that matches your search.
Click this button to close the dialog box without making any changes.
