Import Users from Windows Active Directory Service Interfaces

This procedure allows you to import users from Windows Active Directory Service Interfaces (ADSI).

For more information, see Import Users Overview.

When you manually create users or import them from sources like Microsoft Outlook Contacts, Windows Active Directory Service Interfaces (ADSI), or a CSV file, the EPM SA application automatically sets the Password Last Update field to the current date. This will be used for a future feature implementation.

To import users from Windows ADSI:

  1. From the Navigation menu, click Configurations » Import Users » From Active Directory. The Import Users from Active Directory form displays.

  2. In the Domain field, enter the name of the server where you want to import user records and then click Connect. Deltek EPM Security Administrator (SA) retrieves groups that are set up on the ADSI server and then populates the Groups list on the Domain Users and Groups pane.

  3. In the Groups grid, select a group from which you want to import users. When you select a group, EPM SA displays the list of users on the server in the Users grid.

  4. In the Users grid, select the users that you want to import. Select as many users as needed. You can select multiple users by pressing either the CTRL key or the SHIFT key and then clicking the selected users.

  5. On the form toolbar, click Import. EPM SA converts imported user IDs to all uppercase characters and then assigns users automatically to the same groups to which they belong in the company.

  6. Review the created user profile, and make any necessary modifications.
