Tools

This item of the Cobra hierarchy controls the entire Tools menu in Cobra. Disabling this option also disables all of the menu items found in the Tools menu, such as Validity Check and Update Totals.

When you enable this item, all of its child items are also enabled by default. However, you can define the permissions for each item in the Tools menu individually.

This item contains the following items:

• Validity Check

  This item controls access to the Validity Check wizard that allows you to validate a wide range of project information.

• Update Totals

  This item controls access to the Update Totals wizard, which allows you to sum all detail time-phased resource values by class and result to display the correct summary information for cost sets on roll-up screens.

• Replace Resources

  This item controls access to the Replace Resources wizard, which allows you to replace one resource with another, provided that the new resource is included in the resource file.

• Update OP Resources

  Enabling this item allows you to update existing Open Plan resources with values from Cobra.

• Export Calendar to OP

  This item controls access to the Export Calendar to OP wizard, which allows you to export a calendar to the Open Plan scheduling tool.

• Process Logs

  Enabling this item allows you to filter and view process log information, which includes errors and warnings generated during the process.

• SQL Command Utility

  Enabling this item allows you to use the SQL Command utility.

  • Run Update Scripts

    Enabling this item allows you to update statements in the SQL Command utility.

  • Run Delete Scripts

    Enabling this item allows you to delete statements in the SQL Command utility.

• Configure

  Enabling this item allows you to define system-wide settings, which include general terminology, template  and milestone options, project level codes, project level notes, spread curves for budget and forecast data, data access, custom hooks, and integration.
