The License tab of Cobra and Open Plan allows you to manage license keys and license exceptions.
This group box displays the following fields and buttons:
This field displays the number of licensed users for a selected product.
This field displays the number of users who are currently logged on to the product.
Click this button to review and maintain the list of license exceptions. Clicking this button displays the License Exceptions dialog box.
If there are license exceptions, a log of all users who accessed the application successfully displays. The information helps you determine whether your organization is exceeding the number of purchased licenses. It also allows you to know if your organization needs more licenses.
When you purchase an upgraded license, you also receive a new license key. This license key specifies the number of users who can log on to the Deltek product at one time.
This group box within the License group box displays the following fields and button:
Enter a new license key for the selected product.
This field displays the number of concurrent logins that the license permits. The value in this field only displays after you click Test.
Click this button to test the new license key.
If the key is valid, EPM Security Administrator updates the New User Count field.
If the key is not valid, an error message displays.

User ID |
This column displays the User ID. Beside the user ID is an icon called IM ball, which indicates that the IM Presence and email features are enabled. The IM ball indicates the selected users’ current status, allowing other users to know whether they can communicate with the selected user via instant messaging and/or email. For more information about the IM Presence, see General Tab of System Settings. |
First Name |
This column displays the user's first name. |
Last Name |
This column displays the user's last name. |

Select this option from the Assigned Users drop-down list to display the Print Preview window of the grid's contents. |

Select this option from the Assigned Users drop-down list to open the grid's contents in Microsoft Excel. |
Insert |
Click this button from the grid toolbar to add a row or record. Clicking this button displays the User Search dialog box. If you try to add another user and the total number of users exceeds the limit specified by the license, an error message displays. |
Delete |
Select a row and then click this button from the grid toolbar to delete a row. Clicking this button displays a confirmation dialog box. You can resize columns by dragging the column border to your preferred width, move columns by dragging and dropping them into your preferred location, and sort records by clicking the column headers. All changes are retained. |
