Add a Server Link to the Links Tab

Use this procedure to copy a server hyperlink and add it to the Links tab.

Before copying the link, make sure the file is in a folder on the server that the intended users have permission to access.

To copy a Server link and add it to the Links tab:

  1. On the file server, open Explorer and navigate to the document to which you want so link.

  2. Highlight the address area, right click, and select Copy.

  3. In PM Compass, click the Links tab. You can find this tab in any of the following areas:

  4. On the Links toolbar, click New.

  5. On the New Link dialog box in the Name field, provide a name for the document.

  6. In the Path field, press CTRL + V.

  7. Click Save.
