Create Milestones and Earning Rules

You can create milestones and earning rules used for calculating earned value. If a Milestone or Step EVT is selected, you must add at least one milestone or step.

To create milestones and earning rules, complete the following steps:

1. On the Navigation menu, click Workflows » Change Management.

2. In the List View, select the change request.

3. On the General Tab of the Change Request Form, click the Change Details button.

4. On the Change Details View, click the Milestones/Steps tab.

   The Milestones/Steps Tab is only enabled if the selected earned value technique (EVT) for the work package is Milestone or Earning Rules.

5. In the Milestones Grid, select Insert to add a new row and enter the details for the new milestones and earning rules.

   After you click Insert, a new row is added and the baseline and forecast finish dates default to the baseline and forecast finish dates of the work package (WP).

   You cannot insert/add an existing milestones/steps. The baseline and forecast finish dates of the milestone cant be greater than the baseline and forecast finish dates of the work package.

6. Click Save.
