Federal

Federal Tax Update 2018

These are the federal tax changes for 2018:


State

Florida Reemployment XML Report Update

The Reemployment Tax XML Package has been updated with the following changes:

The legacy schema and validation rules will be maintained through January 31, 2018. Use of the new schema will become mandatory beginning February 1, 2018 even if you are not filing amended reports.

Illinois 2018 Tax Update

The standard exemption decreases from $2,175 to $2,000.

Kentucky 2018 Tax Update

Mississippi 2018 Tax Update

Enhancements


Access to the Report Administration Utility

In this version of DPS, you now have access to the Current Activity tab and the Report Logging tab on the Report Server form (Utilities > Report Administration in the desktop application). The Current Activity tab displays information about reporting jobs that are currently running. The Report Logging tab displays information about all reporting jobs, such as the user who ran the report, report file name, start and end times, and report server used. For more information about these tabs, refer to the DPS online help topics for the Report Administration utility (Utilities > Utilities (Desktop) > Report Administration Utility in the Contents pane for DPS help).


Software Issues Resolved


Hubs

Defect 873230: If you selected the Summary Panel with Image check box on the Hub Preferences dialog box when creating and saving a user-defined hub, an error occurred.


Hubs >> Activities

Defect 870366: In the Activities hub, when a firm was listed as the Primary firm on the activity record and that record was either copied or edited, the Primary designation was lost after a change was made and saved.


Hubs >> Employees

Defect 865154: If your security role does not give you access to the Employees hub, when you tried to open the employee card in Timesheets, you received an error. You should have been able to open the employee card, which would have displayed limited information. 


Hubs >> Firms

Defect 881677:  On the Vendors tab in the Firms hub, if you entered an amount that included a decimal in the Paid This Year and Last Year fields, the amount was automatically rounded to the nearest whole number when the form was saved.

Defect 881633: The first digit of the Bank ID was cut off from the Banking Information on the Vendor tab in the Firms hub.

Defect 873231: When adding and saving an address to the Firms hub, if the Tax Country was left blank, the field was automatically populated with Canada when the record was re-opened.

Defect 881730: When a firm had the Available to Accounting Users or Available to CRM Users option selected on the Overview tab of the Projects hub in the browser application, the firms did not display in the Vendor lookup in the desktop application.


Hubs >> Opportunities

Defect 878268:  When you copied a row on the Labor tab of the Opportunities Estimates form, if you saved your changes and moved focus off of the form, the copied row did not display when you returned to the form.

Defect 875645:  When a new team member was added to the Team Members grid on the Team tab and Owner was selected as the Role, an error occurred upon saving.


Hubs >> Projects >> Plan Mode

Defect 882926: If a labor assignment in a project plan had planned hours for the job-to-date (JTD) date but had no additional planned hours for a period of time starting immediately after the JTD date, the grid on the Labor tab incorrectly displayed estimate-to-complete (ETC) hours for a calendar period beginning on the JTD date and ending sometime within the period for which there were no planned hours. ETC hours should have been 0 for that period.


Login

Defect 883449: When you logged in to DPS, a white screen appeared for five seconds before the login screen displayed.


My Preferences

Defect 880219: If the Open this Application option was selected on the Startup tab in My Preferences, you could select a specific application that would open each time you logged in. However, if Windows Authentication was in use, the specified application would not open.


My Stuff >> Dashboard

Defect 875467: When you added the Description column to the Opportunity List dashpart in Dashboard Designer, the description in the Description column in the dashboard displayed as HTML code.


My Stuff >> Expense Report

Defect 881656: After changing the Distance Measure option from Mile to Kilometer on the Expense Categories dialog box from Settings » Expense » Categories for a travel expense category, the change was not reflected in Expense Reports.

Defect 879442: When a Credit Card expense was added from the Credit Card Charges pane to an Expense Report and the description on that Credit Card expense was longer than the allowed 40 characters, an error message was displayed when the Expense Report was saved.

Defect 882486: If the expense administration level for an employee was set to System with the Edit check box selected in the Employees hub on the Time & Expense tab, the employee could not create another expense report after creating the first expense report in the same session. The employee could, however, create another expense report if they opened another application and then reopened Expense Reports or if they logged out of DPS and logged back in.


My Stuff >> Timesheet

Defect 873233: This defect applied when a project had Project Planning selected in the Budget Source field on the Time & Expense tab in the Projects hub and the project had already been automatically added to a timesheet. If you manually added that same project to to a new line in the timesheet, you received an error message that said you were not budgeted for the project. You should not have received the error message.

Defect 878598: If you had the Enable Start/End Time setting set to Yes in Settings » Time and an employee record in the Employees hub had the Allow Employee to Enter Meals and Breaks check box selected on the Time & Expense tab, the employee was unable to save a timesheet.  


Purchasing >> Purchase Orders

Defect 881854: On the Line Items tab of the Purchase Orders form, when you changed an existing inventory item in the Line Items grid to a non-inventory item without deleting the item in the grid, the inventory common project incorrectly remained as the PO line item cost distribution project in the Project Name field on the Cost Distribution tab on the Purchase Order Line Detail dialog box.


Reporting

Defect 875675: You received an error when you drilled down for detailed information in any previewed summary report.


Resource Management >> Project View

Defect 876557: When you selected a project or opportunity in Project View (Resource Management > Project View), no plan information displayed for the selected record if your role's record level access rights for projects or opportunities were set to "Project manager is me" on the Roles form.


Screen Designer

Defect 871664: This defect applied if you use multiple currencies in DPS. A Custom Currency Code drop-down field should have displayed in Screen Designer when you used Screen Designer for user-defined hubs and the Firms, Contacts, and Boilerplates hubs.


Security

Defect 881066: When creating a new user, if you entered and saved the employee username and password, any subsequent changes to the username resulted in the Password field displaying as blank.

Defect 874077: If you attempted to log in to the desktop application and were notified that you needed to reset your password, a "Variable SystemAdmin not found" error occurred when you clicked OK.


Settings >> Labels and Lists >> Labels

Defect 876123: In Settings » Labels and Lists » Labels, if you entered a custom label for the Supervisor system label, it applied the label to the Supervisor field in the Employees hub and the Projects hub. It should have applied the custom label only for the Supervisor field in the Projects hub.


Touch >> Touch Time and Expense

Defect 877534: If you tried to add or edit a value in the Labor Code field of a timesheet, an error message displayed.

Defect 876371: If Enable Revision Audit was set to Yes and Revision Audit Frequency was set to Start When Employee Submits Timesheet in DPS, saving a new timesheet in Deltek Time & Expense for Professional Services would cause all fields in that timesheet to become read-only.


Workflow and Alerts

Defect 873234: Email alerts for the invoice approval process incorrectly contained "Approve the invoice in Vision or iAccess" text at the end of the email message.
