Create an Offline Timesheet
Click Off-Line Timesheet to create a new off-line timesheet from the timesheet that is currently displayed. This creates a formatted Excel file, including contents of all of the lines and cells on the timesheet.
The Excel file is named using the format: XXX_YYYYMMDD.xls, in which:
XXX is the employee's last name.
YYYYMMDD is the timesheet period end date.
The Excel file has 25 lines unless you have more than 25 lines on your currently displayed timesheet. If you have more than 25 lines on your timesheet, the Excel file has the current number of lines plus 10 more.
You cannot create an off-line timesheet if:
The current timesheet is Missing, Processed, Rejected, or Sent.
There are processed, rejected, or sent hours on the timesheet.
The timesheet has unsaved changes.
You are a supervisor viewing an employee's timesheet and your functional role does not allow you to modify timesheets.
To create an off-line timesheet, complete the following steps:
- From the Time menu, select
- Click Off-Line Timesheet.

Create Off-Line Timesheet and click
OK.
Time and Expense with ESS creates a spreadsheet and prompts you to save it.
A warning displays if you try to create an off-line timesheet and one already exists for the same employee and period ending date.: An off-line timesheet already exists for this pay period. You will lose changes made to the previous off-line timesheet.
- Save the timesheet wherever you wish.
