Ask Dela
Ask Dela, the Deltek Digital Assistant, can enhance your user experience in Costpoint.
Start a conversation with Ask Dela using text chat or voice commands and ask a variety of questions from basic data inquiries about an application to generating summaries on contracts, projects, and other relevant areas within Costpoint. You can view timesheet data or enter time using free-form text commands.
As you engage with Ask Dela, you can request more detailed information, follow up on your initial queries, and receive comprehensive responses that include direct links to specific applications, sub-tasks, and records.
Ask Dela's user-friendly interface allows for quick emailing, copying, and sharing of responses. You can also provide feedback to improve Ask Dela by liking or disliking the responses.
Ask Dela supports multiple simultaneous chats, allowing you to switch between conversations using the chat history feature. Your chat history is securely stored in your browser for 90 days and is only accessible to you. Use the search feature to retrieve and review past conversations. The search results are previewed in a highlighted format for easy reference. You also have the option to clear your chat history at any time.
To clear chat history when you log out of Costpoint, administrators can enable the option to Clear Ask Dela chat history on logout on the Dela tab in Configure System Settings.
To access Ask Dela, click the Ask Dela icon on the Navigation Toolbar or at the bottom right corner of your Costpoint screen. The Screen Configuration Panel allows you to modify these settings at any time.
You can resize and drag and dock the chat window, or dock it to the left or right of the screen. You also can place it in the center (Focus Mode) to display as a full-sized application, which is helpful when working with large amounts of text.
Costpoint On-Premises Customers: Dela utilizes the OpenAI GPT-4 Turbo or OpenAI GPT-4o models available through Microsoft Azure services. To access these AI capabilities within Costpoint, you must have a separate agreement with Microsoft. This agreement will include a license key that must be obtained and integrated into the Costpoint configuration..
