Deltek Costpoint 7.1.23 Release Notes (Build 7.1.23.1001)


Welcome to the Deltek Costpoint 7.1.23 Release Notes, which describe the new features and enhancements introduced in this release.


Important Notes


These release notes address all of the modules associated with Deltek Costpoint 7.1.23, some of which your firm may not use. Skip the sections that do not apply to your implementation of Deltek Costpoint.

Release notes are available from the landing page and the Costpoint Information Center. We will make a PDF available for a while, as we transition to the new format.

Installation Notes

 

The MR installer reads through all Costpoint systems selected. If a Time & Expense segment is found, it searches for the presence of a Time & Expense license for that Costpoint system. It provides a listing of all such systems found, prompting you to review the list and remove (using DBWizard, Remove License) any TE license from the Costpoint system where the connected TE segment is for a stand-alone, external connection that should not have had a Time & Expense license applied to it.

 

Any external Time & Expense segments found where a Time & Expense license is not present, or where the Time & Expense segment is for a Time & Expense 901 system, the MR Time & Expense patches, SPs, or Data Dictionary files will not be applied.

 

If all systems listed are properly licensed for Time & Expense and you do want the MR applied to them, please proceed. If you are unsure, please contact Deltek Technical Support.

The Costpoint 7.1.23 MR installer has been updated to include the latest quarterly patch releases for WebLogic 12.2.1.4 and 12.2.1.3.

Also, the Java Development Kit (JDK) has been upgraded to version 1.8.0_301 and is installed with the Costpoint 7.1.23 MR Installer.

Engineering Change Notices >> Manage Engineering Change Notices


Defect 1505664: When you created an engineering change notice (ECN) with the same part from another company, you encountered an error. This happened even though the Separate Items By Company check box was selected on the Configure Product Definition Settings screen.


Inventory >> Enter Issues to Project/Account/Org or PO


Defect 1515729: You were able to issue the same serial ID when users were logged into the application at the same time, issued the same part ID, and selected the same serial ID.


Production Control >> Enter Manufacturing Order Reliefs


Defect 1502471: You were able to reverse the manufacturing order (MO) relief after the lot number was moved to a new location. Costpoint validated the action based on quantity, but not on lot number.

Defect 1515725: When organization security was set and you (the planner) have access to the Inventory Project Organization, and you tried to move a government furnished equipment (GFE) in the manufacturing order (MO) requirements, you encountered an error that said the planner does not have access to the organization.

Defect 1379668: When you printed a manufacturing order (MO) document and selected the Update MO Status to In-Shop check box, the status of the MO remained as Released.

Defect 1503920: When you imported purchase order (PO) data where there are existing POs, and you inserted a new PO in the import file, the order date from the first record was reflected in both the existing and new POs.


Receiving >> Manage Purchase Order Receipts


Defect 1504082: When you deleted a receipt, Costpoint did not validate the serial number.


Receiving >> Manage Quality Control Inspections


Defect 1503943: When you deleted a quality control receipt, Costpoint did not validate the serial number.


Defect 1513844: When a receipt was loaded for a subcontract agreement or subcontract agreement release, an error was generated. Inspection should be allowed for PO lines that are type Other.


Sales Order Entry >> Manage Sales Order Non-Inventory Issues


Defect 1504351: When you created a new issue, Costpoint did not load the correct cost for the sales order unit.


People


Employee >> Import Employee Data


Defect 1502717: When you imported salary information records that had different effective dates, Costpoint incorrectly calculated the percent of increase.


Employee Self Service >> Activate Pending Benefit Elections


Defect 1464214: Costpoint deducted too much if an employee had multiple HSA elections that had overlapping starting and ending dates. This issue occurred when an employee had an existing HSA election and then added a new HSA election type through a life event.

As a workaround, you can set the end date of old election to a date earlier than the pay period start date of the open pay period.

Defect 1510297: The screen disabled the Select check boxes in the Select New Coverage table of a tab. This issue occurred when more than 50 records existed in the new coverage table for the system benefit type.

Defect 1510293: The screen disabled the Select check boxes in the Select New Coverage table of a tab. This issue occurred when more than 50 records existed in the new coverage table for the system benefit type.

Defect 1456513: The ESS Payroll Checks screen displayed incorrect year-to-date (YTD) amounts.


Labor >> Import Timesheets from Deltek Time and Expense


Defect 1500523: When you uploaded a file from Deltek Time and Expense, you encountered an ORA-02291 or ORA-08103 error.


Payroll >> Manage Payroll Records


Defect 1458840: The Accept Bank Transactions screen did not display transaction numbers for V and W records. This issue occurred when you performed the following actions:

  1. Void a check on the Void/Replace Posted Paychecks screen.

  2. Manually enter the advice number/check date on the Manage Payroll Records screen.

  3. Post paycheck information.


Payroll >> Print Deduction Summary Report


Defect 1512478: The YTD deduction amount included the previous calendar year amount.


Planning


Administration >> Refresh Process


Defect 1507873: During refresh of the CER table, the ACT_BURDEN_DELTA routine caused unnecessary updates.


Defect 1515151: The Costpoint Business Intelligence – Pending Delta routine hung when you tried to run it.


Project Budgeting >> Project Budgets / EACs


Defect 1507570: Hours-based service centers showed a doubling in EACs, while future service center costs were not reflected in EACs or budgets.


Projects


Billing >> Print Standard Bills


Defect 1395769: The currency symbol printed in the Rounding Audit column of the T&M Labor Supporting Schedule was for the functional currency rather than for the billing currency.


Cost and Revenue Processing >> Post Revenue


Defect 1501986: Printing on this screen was taking longer than expected when you ran it for all projects. As a workaround, you can run it for a range of projects instead of all projects.


Project Setup >> Manage Modifications


Defect 1385121Depending on the order of data entry, cumulative amounts were either calculated incorrectly or not updated instantaneously before the modification was saved.


Project Setup >> Manage Project User Flow


Defect 1462949The Customer Allow Edit check box value did not flow down to the lower levels of the project when you created multiple child projects without saving.


Time & Expense


Expense >> Manage Expense Batch Types


Defect 1510553: When the Wizard Type Identification subtask was set to direct the transaction to a different pay method, the import instead used the main batch types pay method.
