Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

ProcessLog.xml Log File

This log file stores information about various processes that run in Cobra, such as the Integration wizard, Backup, Restore, and Reports.

Locations

The ProcessLog.xml log file is generated in the Documents folder of the Windows profile running the Cobra process. The file’s location may vary based on the deployment type. The following are general guidelines to assist in finding this file:

  • Client/Server and Standalone Deployments

    The log file is created in the Documents folder of the Windows profile that runs the Cobra client.

    The default location is: C:\Users\<User>\Documents\Deltek\Cobra\Logs.

    Note: Replace <User> with the actual Windows user account name.
  • N-Tier Deployment

    In an n-tier setup, the log file location depends on the Windows account used by Cobra’s IdeaBlade PersistenceServer Service.

    On the application server, it is typically C:\Users\<Service Account User>\Documents\Deltek\Cobra\Logs.

    Note: Replace <Service Account User> with the appropriate account name.

    If the IdeaBlade PersistenceServer Service is run as the System Account, it is C:\Deltek\Cobra\Logs.

Turning the Log File On or Off

Select the Generate processlog.xml option on the Data Access tab of the Application Preferences dialog box to turn the log file generation on or off.

Logging SQL Statements

Select the Include SQL Statements option on the Data Access tab of the Application Preferences dialog box to enable logging of SQL statements in the ProcessLog.xml file.
