Use the Stage list to filter the contents of Historical Pipeline Analytics by stage. When you display the analytics initially, they display historical pipeline data for all GovWin Capture Management opportunity stages for which historical data exists.
When you filter the Historical Pipeline Analytics by stage, that filter is also applied automatically to the analytics on other tabs in Capture Analytics. The only exception is the Bid and Win Rates tab. Applying a stage filter to that tab would, in many cases, result in incorrect rate calculations, so those analytics are never filtered by stage.
The Stage list includes all stages for which historical pipeline data exists
If your firm discontinues use of a stage and marks that stage in Costpoint Analytics as no longer included in the current pipeline, it will still appear in Stage on the Historical Pipeline tab if historical pipeline data exists for it.
By default, the Stage list contains the stages as they are set up in GovWin Capture Management, and the analytics that break down data by stage display data for those stages.
However, Capture Analytics provides a configuration option that enables your firm to define groups of stages by combining two or more of the original GovWin Capture Management stages into a single stage. That enables you to analyze stage data not only at the detail level for individual GovWin Capture Management stages but also at a higher, or summary, level. Historical pipeline for a grouped stage is the sum of the historical pipeline amounts for the individual stages included in the group.
If your firm has set up grouped stages, use the Detail and Grouped options to view historical pipeline either for the original GovWin Capture Management opportunity stages (detail stages) or for the grouped stages. When you select the Grouped option, the Stage list displays the grouped stages, and you can then select one or more of those as filter values, just as you do with the detail stages.
Select Detail under Stage Type.
Select Grouped under Stage Type.
To focus on one or more stages, select those stages in the Stage list. When you do, the analytics display pipeline information only for the selected stages.
Click the stage.
If the stages you want to select are listed together, click the first stage, hold down the left mouse button, and drag the mouse pointer over the other stages. You can also click the first stage and hold down the SHIFT key while you click the last stage.
If the stages you want are not listed together, do either of the following:
Press the CTRL key as you click each stage.
Click each stage without pressing the CTRL key. If you use this method, it is recommended that you pause after each selection to let Capture Analytics update the charts and tables before you select the next stage.
Click each stage selection you want to clear.
Right-click anywhere in the Stage list.
Click Clear on the shortcut menu.
This procedure clears only the selections in Stage.
To clear all filter selections and return to the default display, click
