Pinned Dialog Box

Use the Pinned dialog box to accumulate a group of resources for which you want to enter or review planning data.

The Pinned dialog box works much like a "shopping cart" on commercial web sites. You can search for resources, select those you want from the results in the grid, and click Pin Selected to pin them and add them to the list in the Pinned dialog box. Then you can run additional searches and pin other resources you want to work with. When you finish "shopping" for resources, you can show all of the pinned resources in the Resource Planning grid so you can make assignments and enter planned hours.

Location

To display the Pinned dialog box, complete the following steps:

  1. In the Deltek CRM workspace, click to go to the Resource Planning area.
  2. Click Pinned on the bottom toolbar.

Field Description
x Clear All To unpin all of the resources in the grid, click x Clear All.
Pinned resource Each row of the grid displays a resource that you selected and pinned in the main Resource Planning grid.
To unpin a resource, hover over that grid row and click at the end of the row.
Show in Grid Click this button to close the dialog box and display all of the pinned resources in the Resource View grid.

The pinned resources replace any other resources currently displayed in the grid. Deltek CRM also replaces the search criteria on the Find Resources panel with the search criteria that will return the pinned resources. If you think you will need to retrieve the same set of resources again in the future, click Save Selected to save the search.

Close Click this button to close the dialog box without displaying the pinned resources in the Resource Planning grid. Any changes you made to the list of pinned resources are saved.
Cancel If you make changes to the list of pinned resources and then decide you want to discard those changes, click this button.
