Merge Templates for SF255 Proposals -- REPLACED BY TOPIC: Merge Templates for Government SF Proposals

The Proposals application comes installed with a set of default merge templates for SF255 proposals.

Each merge template in the set is a rich text file (.rtf) that corresponds to a page of the SF255 form. The files contain merge codes that are designed to retrieve data from the Vision Info Centers.

In Proposals > SF255 Proposals, you see the default merge template .rft file for each page of the SF255 proposal when you click Edit > Template Editor on the toolbar of the 255 Proposals form. The template set name for the Deltek-provided default set of templates is Vision Default Template.

You cannot edit the Deltek-provided default template files directly, but you can create a different set of merge template files to use instead. Use the Template Editor in Proposals to export any of the default template files to Microsoft Word, give them different file names, and edit them. You can make changes to the files, such as adding your company's logo, selecting different fonts, or replacing merge codes. Then you can add these new template files to a new template set in the Template Editor. You change the set of templates to use for your SF255 proposals by clicking Edit > Preferences on the toolbar of the 255 Proposals form in Proposals.
